Raiffeisen says uncertainty still high in Ukraine
NEW YORK, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Emerging Europe's No. 2 bank Raiffeisen International will cut more jobs in Ukraine, the bank's biggest "sore spot" in Eastern Europe, as political uncertainty runs high in the country, Chief Financial Officer Martin Gruell said.

Credit-Rating: Rapid devaluation of the national currency may derail Ukraine’s economy in the nearest future

On 18.06.2009 in the "Ukrainian House" there will be an All-Ukrainian Counsel dedicated to the topic of "Commercial Banks and Collecting Company: interactions and cooperation".
I. Tasks:
Defining and approving the basic principals of interactions between commercial banks, collecting companies and banks' debtors.
II. Goals:
1. Identification of collecting market problems and search for their resolution.
2. Development of common view on the legal regulation collecting companies activities and creation of a joint lobby.
3. Definition of ways to ensure the competitiveness of the collecting services market.
4. Improvement of trust level between the banks, collecting companies and the debtors.
III. Participants:
Commercial banks, collecting companies, non-profit civil debtors organizations, state officials (NBU, Rada, Ministry of Justice), international financial organizations.
